Despite continued explosive market growth in Social Media participation, early adopters amongst banks are paring back their investments

Last month at a gathering of leading European Bank Social Media proponents, that I attended, a new mood of somberness prevailed.  Whilst enthusiasm and belief in the new media form was undiminished the new reality of banking cut backs and consolidation was clearly in evidence.
