Head of Business Development
Key responsibilities include:
We are looking for an all round business developer (mid or senior level) who has experience of both consultative sales and client services. You'll either work in business development or account development within the online industry and be managing or selling to large brands.
Initially your main objectives will be to grow and manage existing accounts and develop new customers. You will also manage a sales and marketing executive. There is room to grow the role significantly, so ambition is critical.
You'll be talking with middle to senior management in financial services. That could be the likes of an ecommerce manager or head of user experience, so you'll need knowledge of financial services and keep a close eye on emerging online trends.
The job involves:
- Managing clients including the delivery of presentations
- New business development and the full sales cycle
- Working with the directors on the strategic direction of the business
- Implementing new marketing initiatives (from new sales collateral to social media)
The role is perfect for someone who wants a varied role in a small and dynamic company. It is also a new role within the business, so we're looking for someone who can evolve the role over time.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Your application will stand out if you have experience in a number of these areas:
- The online industry or financial services
- Competitor benchmarking or user experience
- Consultative sales to corporate clients
- Proposal writing, negotiation skills, target setting and pipeline management
- Strategic thinking and product development
Proficiency in English is essential. A second language would be a differentiator.
You can expect a team environment, not a hard sales culture, as you will be the bridge between our clients and internal delivery teams. We are flexible and provide excellent customer services for our clients. So you're ability to build rapport must be a key strength.
